Daman OTP not arriving?

You are staring at the OTP box, the resend timer is counting down and your phone is silent. Almost always, the fix is on the phone side.

1. Check the number

Ten digits, no +91, no zero in front. For login and reset, it must be the number you registered with.

2. The right SIM

Dual-SIM phones may route SMS to the other SIM. Check both inboxes.

3. Spam folder

Many SMS apps file OTPs as spam. Open the spam or blocked list and mark it safe.

4. DND and filters

Full DND can delay transactional messages. Partial DND is usually fine.

5. Respect the cooldown

Repeated resends can trigger a short block. Wait the full timer, try once, then wait ten minutes.

6. Signal

Toggle airplane mode or restart, and move away from basements and lifts.

7. Still nothing

Message Daman customer care with your registered number and a screenshot.

Why OTPs get delayed at all

OTP messages travel through SMS gateways that carry millions of messages an hour. At festival time, during cricket matches or when an operator is doing maintenance, messages queue. Each extra tap on resend joins the back of that queue, which is why waiting the full timer usually works better than tapping again.

Stop it happening next time
